To receive a fighter's body
- A lifetime of hard work, that’s what you are looking at.
- How seriously you take your training will develop your fighter’s body.
- Take care of it or fail to take care of it and it will show in your performance.
|
You will learn fighting lessons
- You will enroll in the full time, informal school of hard knocks.
- Each day you will be presented with opportunities to learn what you need to know to fight.
- The lessons you are presented with are often completely different from those you think you need to know.

There are no mistakes in fighting, only lessons
- Growth is a process of trial, error and experience.
- You can learn as much from failure as you can from success, sometimes more.
- Your skill cannot stay the same, you move only forward or backward.

A fighting lesson is repeated until it is learned
- Lessons are presented to you in various forms until you have learned them.
- When you have learned a lesson it changes your attitude and ultimately your actions.
- Once your change is complete, you can go to the next lesson.

Learning fighting lessons does not end
- There is no stage of experience that does not contain lessons.
- As long as you fight there will be more to learn.
- Better to think ahead than to assume your work is done.

This is not better than That
- When you believe that someone has accomplished something better than you, remember what you have accomplished too.
- Derive something from your own effort and you will appreciate the efforts of others.
- Technique is only a tool, you are the artist, so create something individual.

What you make of your fighting is up to you
- You have all the resources you need.
- What you create with those resources is up to you.
- Remember that through desire, goal setting and undaunted effort that you can achieve anything you want.
- Attitude and persistence are the keys to being a successful fighter.
