Boxing the Sweet Science:
Boxing is one of my favorite types of martial arts training. I have been boxing since childhood and the versatility of it never ceases to amaze me. Boxing is pure adrenaline pumping fun! I really love the contact and there are always new skills that I can improve on. It gives me complete flowing control over my entire body. It enables me to float around on my feet, flick jabs, throw combinations, bob & weave and test the limits of my punching speed and hitting skill. I become a free fighting entity when I box. I shadow box every day and integrate boxing into all other aspects of my mixed martial arts practice.
Boxing is essential because it has all the great elements needed to prove your true skill in combat. It teaches you to think 4 dimensionally, to move in and out, up and down and side to side, all while placing yourself at the right place at just the right time to land a devastating blow! Plus, nothing can be more satisfying than controlling a fight with your fists. Anyone who boxes can respect the notion that getting punched hard can happen at any time and cause a lot of serious damage, so there is no mystery around “who’s bad” when you can box!
